Das Rheingold - Erda

Here is one of the images I revisited for the new Ring Project with somewhat surprising results.  Erda.  I always envisioned her growing out of the ground before our very eyes to deliver her prophecy.  Almost like time-lapse photography.  And just as quickly she recedes back into the recesses of the earth.

In the original it was so dark that her face was obscured to a great extent, but now she emerges eerily out of the mist.  Just as she should.
