It's always been a dream of mine to design and one day make a range of crowns worn by the Gods, Goddesses, Pharaohs and Great Royal Wives of ancient Egypt. So where to start?

I wanted to begin with a somewhat basic form to build from on later builds and decided that the lapis-lazuli coloured crown of Ptah, was not only a perfect beginning but also a fitting tribute to one of the great Creator Gods.
Next on the list will be a base crown worn by Goddesses and Great Royal Wives alike, in the form of Nekhbet, the vulture Goddess, to be worn over a tripartite wig and favoured for millennia.
