Today's required listening...

...is Angela Meade singing the incredible aria Esprits de l'aire! Esprits de onde! from Massenet's Esclarmonde recorded at the Richard Tucker Gala in 2014. It's a fierce aria from a relatively rarely performed Massenet opera which, once synonymous with Dame Joan Sutherland deserves more attention. Let's just say that Angela Meade nails it.
