Image of the Day: A Desdemona of class, style and respect.

Given the ugliness that reached boiling point in Sydney this morning I thought I'd pay a very brief tribute to a great Desdemona who embraced her adoring public, no matter what their orientation, Renata Tebaldi.  La Tebaldi will forever remain one of the greatest exponents of Verdi's most saddest heroine and my eternal favourite.

                    

Farewell small 'd' diva, back to whatever small-minded, inward looking part of the world you came from, enjoy reaping what you have sown, knowing you will never reach the heights of those who came before you with such grace, style and respect.
