Ildar Abdrazakov - Prince Igor

This year sees the first production of Borodin's Prince Igor at the Metropolitan Opera for the first time in nearly a century.  This stunning new production looks to be quite thrilling and I'll certainly be heading off to see the Live in HD Broadcast when it finally reaches these shores.  

I am captivated by the publicity shots for this, taken by fashion photographer Michaela Rossato and featuring star of the show Ildar Abdrazakov.  The video below is Director Dmitri Tcherniakov discussing his vision of this joint production with De Nederlandse Opera, Amsterdam.
