Aunty puts on the Ring!

Our dear old national broadcaster has caught Melbourne's Ring fever and today announced they are broadcasting the third cycle live, starting from tomorrow night.  You can get the details by clicking on their logo to the left.

It's a great chance for those of us spread out over this huge country of ours, and the rest of the world for that matter; who unfortunately did not have the opportunity to attend to be a part of what is hopefully a regular event every four years.  

If Lyndon Terracini, current Artistic Director of Opera Australia has his way, Melbourne will stage a complete cycle every four years, with a new one every twelve.  It will certainly put Melbourne more in the international opera spotlight, as it deserves to be.
