Jud Arthur - Fafner

The Melbourne Ring has opened to mixed reviews on the first cycle, with three yet to come over the next few weeks. Having been unable to see it for myself I can only rely on the impressions of others and the images released by Opera Australia.

This one in particular stands out to me.  A striking idea on how to depict the giant Fafner in Act 2 of Siegfried.  Jud Arthur is Fafner here.  One of Australia's finest Basses with a great future ahead.  It happens to be Jud's birthday today.  Happy Birthday Jud Arthur!
