As we in Australia await the apparently inevitable and highly unfortunate political slide to the right with today's federal election, I pray that the forces of good prevail over those that wish to turn this country I love into something to be ashamed of.  

So for those of us here, enjoy this wonderfully camp image of La Nilsson in prayer from Un Ballo un Maschera by Verdi as somewhat of a distraction.  I'm looking a bit like this tonight I must say.
