Image of the Day

Lately I've been enjoying the challenges of a time limit for designing a concept sketch, commonly known as a speed sketch.  Here is one I came up with this afternoon in under 2 hours, for Act Two of Richard Wagner's Tristan und Isolde.  

This is meant to capture the moment of curtain up, as the hunting party departs into the distance, their torches growing ever dimmer, as Isolde awaits nervously for the time the extinguish the torches signalling it is safe for Tristan to enter the garden.
