Melbourne Ring Update

It seems today that Richard Mills, conductor of the upcoming Opera Australia production of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen has resigned.  Creative differences are cited for the 'amicable' departure.

A replacement has not yet been announced, however my thoughts are towards Asher Fisch, considering he'll be in Perth to begin his tenure as Chief Conductor of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in the later part of this year.
