Image of the Day

Today's image of the day is another finalised reworking, this time of Siegfried, Act 3, Scene 3, the one where Siegfried bursts through the wall of magic fire to discover Brunnhilde in an immortal sleep.

Previously entitled On Sun Illumed Heights, it has be refashioned to fit into my concept for the Nibelungenlied project, minus the character of Siegfried.  

My intention here was to illustrate the passage of time between  the final Act of Die Walkure to when we revisit the Valkyries' Rock around eighteen years later with the appearance of Siegfried.
