Giorgio de Chirico - The Engima of a Day (1913)

Today my homepage reached the milestone of 40,000 pageviews.  I thought I'd celebrate with one of my favourite works by Giorgio de Chirico, The Enigma of a Day.


The depth of his colours are truly exquisite when one has the chance to view the work in person, especially his use and choice of his green tones.

Currently on display in the Picasso To Warhol exhibition at the WA Art Gallery until December 2.
