Happy Birthday Maria Ewing

It was a tough decision for what to post for Maria Ewing, her most famous roles are well documented on film, but in the end I had to choose this over her magnificent portrayals of Carmen, Rosina, Dido and even her Dance of the Seven Veils in which she really does get her kit off!  No body stocking for this demented princess!  

All are rivetingly acted and wonderfully sung, but to me you cannot go past one of the most believable portrayals of Richard Strauss' insatiable ingenue, Salome.  Happy birthday Maria Ewing!
