New Work: Siegfried's Trauermarsch

I am getting very excited, yet somewhat saddened, by the approach of the Met's broadcast of the final installment of Robert Lepage's 'Der Ring des Nibelung.'  

Excited because I am dying to see the conclusion of this brilliant 'Ring Cycle' but saddened as this is the end of the journey.

Gotterdammerung contains some of the saddest music Wagner wrote, Lohengrin and Tristan aside.  So I will be taking a box of tissues to the screening, I can't make it through Act 3 without howling!
