Tonight: A Night In Vienna

Tonight I am going to see Cheryl Barker, Sarah Mcliver and Catherine Carby sing highlights from Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier accompanied by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Paul Daniel.  This should be quite a night, I have been keen to see Cheryl Barker in performance for some time, especially since her recent forays into the music of Richard Strauss and her pending role debut as Salome next year.

The rest of the Viennese theme is taken up with the Symphony No 40 by Mozart, a much loved concert piece, and one of his less saccharine works.  I will post a revue in the coming days.
