In Memoriam: Andy Whitfield

It was with great sadness that I learned today of the passing of Andy Whitfield, star of the television phenomenon that was Spartacus: Blood and Sand, succumbing to his 18 month long battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

In a touching tribute by his wife Vashti, she descibed her husband a "beautiful young warrior" who died on a "sunny Sydney morning" in the "arms of his loving wife".

May you rest in peace Andy, you will be sadly missed by your many fans.
