New Work: The Wanderer

My latest Fantasy work portrays Wotan, or Odin, in his guise as the Wanderer.  Even though it is quite dark in tone, it was a lot of fun doing this self-portrait, especially the aging process.  Once my new commission is complete I will do the companion piece I have planned for this one, it is a flipside to this image in its portrayal of Wotan and eventually the plan is to turn it into an animation of some sort, we shall see.  This winter has been an excellent backdrop with which to explore the myths and legends of Europe in my work, it's been truly a season of Knights and Warrior Maidens, with more to come.
