Daryl Brandwood - Helix

Tomorrow is the opening night of dancer Daryl Brandwood's first solo work, Helix.  Taking place at the Heath Ledger Theatre at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia, he performs from Wednesday 8th to the 11th of June.

With choreograhy by Australian dance legend Barry Morelend and cinematography by Ian Batt, this multimedia show looks very promising.  It's also my first visit to the new theatre, so it will be interesting to experience the latest that Australia has in the way of theatre technology, not to mention design and accoustics.

I  had the privilege of working with Daryl on a number of projects during my studies at WAAPA.  His long and widely acclaimed career is a true testament to his incredible talent.
