Ice That Gives You Fire!

I have just uploaded my latest work into the Drama Queens gallery. This painting has been a work in progress for many months, as it developed from the original image which you can see in previous posts, but had grown into a work in its own right. While the original is somewhat mystical, I feel the mood in this version captures the sadistic and cruel nature of Turandot, contrasted with the dreamlike atmosphere of the scene surrounding her, and portrays her as the Ice Princess that Gozzi, not to mention Puccini, had in mind.
